Brief Introduction

We are proud to have created a unique element for America's midwest with the past three Global Conferences. But our mindset is that we should strive to make every new conference greater than its predecessors. Make sure to take a gander at past sites for Global 2 and Global 3.

Our Current Goals and Theme

Global 4 is a conference for everyone. This space and time are being set aside so that information and skills may be freely shared. Based upon our past three conferences, we anticipate that people will simultaneously have fun, network and expose their minds to diverse new concepts. We have discovered the topics of Global Conferences are not easily limited to short phrases. Environmental, economic, social and political justice will certainly be featured... particularly their relation to globalization and ever-increasing corporate power. Our overarching desire is that Global 4 will inspire scores of people into action by expanding their awareness, knowledge and skill set. The currently limited amount of opportunities to discuss and organize around issues of globalization is definitely quite regrettable. An almost countless number of topics with drastic and wide-ranging impact are still receiving detestably little attention, from nearly all among the political and academic spheres, to those within news media. We eagerly anticipate your involvement with Global 4 because it can only help to challenge this seemingly bleak scenario. Every aspect of this conference is completely free of charge!

Sunday Morning

For those interested in pursuing caucuses, community artwork, and other activities beyond workshops that are both fun and productive... the time being set aside sunday morning and early afternoon in the expansive Great Hall at the Tangeman University Center (TUC) will be ideal.

Offered Childcare

One of our organizers has offered to help both provide and also organize childcare for the Global 4 weekend. Please visit the attend page and register to request childcare and get in contact with Alice.

Great Free Food

We have always featured free vegan and vegtarian friendly food and this year will be no exception. Lunch on saturday will feature burritos from Habanero, while lunch on sunday will feature pizza from Adriactico's. Individuals from a local Food Not Bombs crew will provide dumpstered food throughout the Global 4 weekend. We also plan to purchase organic fruits and vegetables in bulk to provide healthier options.

Expect cool music on both Friday and Saturday night.
Each venue this year is off but quite near UC's campus.
